Candy Disaster

Well, I gave making fudge another go this year to have something for our ward Christmas party. And yet again it failed! uuuhg! It is supposed to be a fail proof recipe and I have made it lots before but for some reason it doesn't work here in Washington! Just like last year it never set up and it ended up being like really thick brownie batter. ICKY. STICKY. GOOP. Can you tell I am a little bit upset? Now I am scrabbling to find something else to make for the party tomorrow. Any Ideas?
