The 4th of July

For the Fourth of July we hosted a neighborhood BBQ with the families from our Cul-de-sac. We had it on our back porch in the shade. It was a good thing too. It was a HOT one this year.

After we ate everyone gathered in front and set out chair to watch fireworks together. We like to pool our money together and send one of the guys to get all the fireworks. It's a lot of fun and makes for an amazing show!

Emma sporting the muffs

Because it has been so dry this summer, a lot of the fireworks are not recommended and to keep everyone safe the police came around the neighborhood just to check up on everyone making sure we were doing our part to keep it a happy 4th for everyone.

This little girl was just adorable in the shooting muffs. They're as big as her whole head! They sure helped though. She did not like the loud noises.

Our Neighbor Mike, and the man in charge of the fireworks. We love our neighbors!

I think this is the first year Emma has actually enjoyed doing sparklers. And now that she knows how to write her name she was doing it over and over again with these. I think she did the most sparklers out of everyone.

Kiera and Ethan shooting of Roman Candles. I really liked this shot

Someone's getting sleepy, but oh sooo cute!

Ethan was a happy little boy this year. He had almost free reign to like fireworks over and over again. He's our little pyromaniac. (he was caught just a few days prior lighting matches in his room and hiding them behind the bookshelf too, but that's another story...)

The neighborhood gang.

We love our neighborhood and love this tradition! We hope to continue it year after year.           Happy Fourth of July!
